Originally chartered in 1969, the Amberson Athletic Association is a non-profit organization that operates the Amberson Community Center for the benefit of all local residents.
We are trying to rejuvenate the association. We had t-ball using the field again and we started to have more activities. We are planning to have more activities but we need help. We would like to have an Easter egg hunt again, and have community breakfasts, and dinners. We are not asking you to help out at each event, but if you could help out at one event, that could be the difference between having it and not having it.
The building is in need of repairs. The building needs a new roof. The heating system does not work so we can have no winter rentals, and that would be the best time to rent the facilities. We could use your financial help. The year we missed due to COVID took out our reserver for repairs. Recently we ran into another issue that wiped us out financially. Once the legal process is finished we will go into more detail. Right now the association is running completely off of donations and we don’t have enough money to pay off our creditors and make it to the Spring so we can start having more events without your help.
